The web project JOURNEY TO THE PLANET OF NUCLEAR CHEWING GUM is a media hybrid at the interface of experimental film, interactive net art and language art. Digital images of various objects are assembled in the picture’s foreground and overlapping found and newly assorted footage. The objects can be moved and repositioned by drag & drop. Each movement is linked to the playback of a subtitle and an individual sound. The active intervention of the users creates a highly variable narrative that takes place in the spaces between text, image and film. Das Webprojekt JOURNEY TO THE PLANET OF NUCLEAR CHEWING GUM ist eine mediales Hybrid an der Schnittstelle von Experimentalfilm, interaktiver Netzkunst und Sprachkunst. Digitale Abbilder verschiedener Gegenstände sind vordergründig ins Bild montiert und überlagern gefundenes und neu montiertes Filmmaterial. Per Drag & Drop lassen sich die Objekte beliebig verschieben und neu platzieren. Dabei ist jede Bewegung an die Wiedergabe eines Untertitels und eines individuellen Geräusches gekoppelt. Durch den aktiven Eingriff der UserInnen entsteht ein stark variables Narrativ, das sich in den Zwischenräumen von Text, Bild und Film abspielt.
